Obituary for Averil Rawsthorne
The Cambria Cat Club committee regrets to announce that a precious and valued Founder Member, Averil Rawsthorne, died in June 2009. Averil was a wonderful lady, loyal to the Club, which she loved, and to the Committee on which she had served for many, many years. She worked tirelessly for the Club, and many of you will know her, or will remember her from her show-days, working on the Trophy table with Linda. Her particularly loved breed was Burmese Cats she specialised in Reds and Lilacs.
Averil had been battling with cancer for some time but she loved the cat world and continued to give it her loyal support until the time of her death. She was much loved by the rest of the Committee, and by many other people who had any link to the Cambria Cat Club. She is very sadly missed.
